Solar Monitoring Installation

Solar monitoring is imperative to maintaining a healthy PV solar system. An older installation will not have the same capabilities of a monitoring system installed in the most recent years, but a total system based monitoring system can still be implemented!  A newer install will have many gadgets, apps, and portals that can be accessed to monitor your solar array on a modular level, meaning each solar panel can be monitored independently from one another to better identify deficiencies in those modules.  This technology is only available if there is a small microinverter or optimizer attached to each module. These micro-inverters and optimizers then report to a hub that then communicates this information to the web and allows the owner to view, graph and monitor the production happening in real time.  Solar Medix inherently became exceptional at monitoring systems and identifying issues with these portals, prior to the issue causing large loses in production and money.

Solar Panel Repair/Replacement

Solar Medix has replaced 500+ modules just in 2018 alone. Solar Medix warehouses many older modules for such occasions where a customer needs an exact match. If it is not in the Solar Medix warehouse, we will do everything we can to locate your new module(s).  Modules can frequently have defects and naturally stop producing without any warning. Testing modules require high-level testing equipment that cannot be found at your local hardware store.  Luckily for you, Solar Medix carries all necessary testing equipment to let you know if your modules are operating properly.

Solar Inverter Repair & Replacement

A Solar Inverter is the heart of your entire PV solar system. It converts the DC generated power from the solar modules, into usable AC power. Without it, you could never begin to use the power stemming from your roof or ground mounted system (unless you wanted to jump your vehicle).  Looking into a solar inverter could be very overwhelming if not trained on the proper procedure and understanding of its innermost components. Critter Repair

“Critters” those damn critters! What exactly is a “critter”?  Critter is a term that the solar industry has adopted for squirrels, birds, raccoons or any other small animal that may want to nest under your solar array.  Squirrels have a tendency to chew the insulation off of the wiring under your solar array, while birds normally only create large nests and leave your gutters filled with feces.  The simple fact is this; chewing the coating off of the wires can and will shut the system down or worse, create a fire hazard on your roof.  As you know, the DC voltage cannot be contained from solar modules. This means that no matter system you have on your home, it will always produce electricity, even if the entire system is “off."  In turn, this raises a concern for any objects used for nesting, to be ignited by the electricity coming from the solar module.  If you hear any critters rustling around on your roof, it would be best to call Solar Medix immediately to ward off the unwanted intruders and make the proper repairs!
