Integrated Services Management 

B&G introduced the Integrated Services Management "ISM" division in late 2015 to accommodate the growing demand and needs of its customers. B&Gs ISM division encompasses the non-core service offerings that are provided through B&Gs network of 52 vetted, safe and reliable third-party service providers.

Pigging 

A pipeline inspection gauge, or PIG, is a tool that is utilized to clean and/or examine pipelines without stopping the flow of product within the pipeline. B&Gs technicians utilize PIGs to optimize hydrocarbon flow through pipeline gathering networks by removing excess liquids and contaminants.  PIGs can also identify and highlight broken or damaged pipeline gathering and compressor station infrastructure.

Hydrovac

 Hydrovac trucks are utilized for debris removal and/or for precision excavation, which is required when excavating near underground utilities or in confined areas.  Hydrovac trucks work by injecting water into the ground through a hose, which liquefies the soil.  When the soil becomes a slurry mix, it is then vacuumed up using a powerful pumping system.  This slurry mixture is then stored in a self-contained tank on the truck. This process can be used to dig up to 40 feet deep. The excavation process can be used in almost any soil type, even in frozen ground.

Midstream Maintenance & Construction

B&Gs Midstream division assists with the maintenance and/or construction of pipeline gathering networks.  Gathering networks are the smaller diameter pipes that connect each well-site with larger transmission lines.  Gathering networks account for the majority of pipeline infrastructure in North Dakota.  Environmental regulations require oil and gas companies to perform routine tests and maintenance on pipelines to ensure that they meet all guidelines and are performing. B&s Midstream division schedules and performs these tests and executes any required repairs or replacements.

Line Locating 

Utility location is the process of identifying, labeling and/or mapping underground infrastructure.  Because underground infrastructure is comprised of different materials, different detection and location methods must be used. For metal pipes and cables, electromagnetic equipment consisting of a transmitter and a receiver are utilized.  For other types of pipe, such as plastic or concrete, radiolocation may be used.  Location by these technical means is necessary because maps often lack the pinpoint precision needed to ensure proper clearance and excavation safety.  B&G’s utility locators are trained and proficient with several different types of locating equipment.
