Compression Technology (CTI) is a locally owned and operated company. It’s owner, Mr. Gord Humphrey, participates in all aspects of CTI’s day to day operations with an acute interest in the service sector of the business. Mr. Humphrey has 27 years of technical experience in the Natural Gas Engine & Compressor Maintenance industry. He is known for his mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting ability and has now come “full circle” within the industry, using this knowledge base for project management. Mr. Humphrey is a hands on mentor to all service employees with his vast technical knowledge base.  Presently, CTI has 13 company service trucks with 8 serving the Fort St. John area and 5 serving the Edson area. We employ 10 Journeyman Technicians in Fort St. John and 5 in Edson with experience levels ranging from 3 – 27 years, with the majority averaging 10+.  CTI also believes in building the future by supporting its employees by sponsoring them through the ITA apprenticeship program. By consistently encouraging and challenging the employees to grow within their chosen apprenticeship field, CTI has a wealth of enthusiastic and youthful journeyman and apprentices in both its Service and Parts Department. These new apprenticeship employees are eager to grow their careers by learning from our seasoned technicians. With this continued support, CTI and its customers benefit from the growing knowledge base and employee loyalty reflected in our low employee turnover rate.

Compression Technology provides complete maintenance, repair and overhaul services for natural gas engines & compressors. With our fleet of fully equipped service trucks, in field overhauls & scheduled services are fast, efficient while reducing downtime and making the most of your equipment's potential. Our 13500 sq. ft. shop equipped with its own 10Ton overhead crane located in Fort St. John B.C. means that no job is to big or small. We also have a shop situated in Edson, Alberta.  Our skilled technicians provide experience in servicing and optimizing the operating efficiency of your equipment in everyday, field operating conditions.
